Looking forward to a beautiful summer

The Spring and summer in Mid Wales are special and we look forward to spending countless hours in the garden so the guests can enjoy the beauty of it. It's a large and complicated area to look after with lawns woodlands and ponds throughout and the hardest aspect is just cleaning up after the winter months. There are paths that waive  in out of all the different places and they all need to be kept clear, a big job for anyone. We invested in a ride on lawn mower last year and it saves a lot time.
The birds are wonderful during spring and summer keeping the garden alive and buzzing with activity, it can sometimes get noisy when you have two birds fighting over territory and I find myself shouting at them to be quiet!!! It must look and sound very funny seeing this chap shouting at the trees....gone completely mad!

Winter at Ty Poeth

The Winter has been one of the hardest for 30 years and in our area the first snow I have seen. It unfortunately took a number of large branches off our Scott pine trees in the garden and we are currently cleaning up the mess. The pond has been safe and currently full of water to overflowing, this is the water from the Pond overflow.
