Big tree comes down in garden....
The biggest tree to ever come down in the garden came down last week and missed the Grove cottage by a few feet. It was one we had been looking at this summer because of the movement at the base and the age of the tree. We had someone come up to have a look ,but because of it's size they said they would need a cherry picker to cut it down in sections being close to the house. We had it strapped to add support and in the end this is what saved the day with the stone walls, it made it swing away from the house when it decided to fall. The two last pictures are the initial clean up.

A message from Malcolm and Margaret from Shropshire...after staying in the Grove
Malcolm, Margaret, Thelma and Don Tyrer and Rossy, Telford, Shropshire—Lovely cottage, well appointed and lovely and warm. Rossy found lots of squirrels to chase in the Secret Garden. Views from the open terrace of the hills beautiful—did several sketches of the views to do large canvas when I get home. Also the cottage is in a perfect location for visiting locations of interests and the coast.
